Keep necessary funding in place !

Dear [Decision Maker],

Governor Murphy is set to make a decision on the budget presented to him by the NJ State Legislator. In the budget being sent to him is support for the men, women and children we serve. We are urging the Governor to keep these necessary funds in place so that we can continue to make a positive impact on individuals and communities that we serve.

At risk are two programs that allow Volunteers of America Delaware Valley to reach out to the most vulnerable populations. The Safe Return program provides outreach, treatment, employment, legal services and substance abuse assessment to the formerly incarcerated. This program has grown to serve five South Jersey counties and over 3,000 thanks to the funding we have been able to receive. The second program is the Navigation Program which provides outreach, rapid response and navigation to critical services to the homeless in Camden and Atlantic City. No one is turned away thanks to the funding received. Both these programs help not only the people that are served, the communities in which we serve them.

These are difficult times and our neighbors need your help. I am urging you to keep this critical funding in place.

Sincerely,
